Why all the pixel art?
I suck at art in general, and, in my opinion, pixel art doesn't need to be as detailed as conventional "pen and paper" art to look good, although it very well can be. Also, it's easy to animate. Everything's on a nice, orderly grid. That's not to say that pixel art is "easier" or any "less" art than conventional art, as pixel art can really be stunning. Unfortunately for me, good pixel art takes talent, time, and patience that I don't have. The images that aren't pixel art were made with GIMP, which I also know basically nothing about.
